About Ian
I built Decision Lab because consequences teach too late.
Brake Your Limit brings more than twenty years of operating, founder and organizational experience into a practical environment for seeing decisions earlier.

Founder · operator · decision systems practitioner
Experience without the gloss.
The work sits where human judgment meets the systems, relationships and environments that shape what happens next.
Ian is a two-time founder who has built, scaled, franchised and exited businesses across the US and UK. His experience includes venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, multi-site operations, international teams, organizational design, leadership transformation and succession.
Decision Lab emerged from a repeated observation: organizations and individuals often intervene after a pattern has already become expensive. Better systems matter, but systems multiply the quality of the judgment entering them.
The aim is practical—make consequential patterns visible while there is still time to change what follows.
Why this work matters.
Leadership should not consume the people doing the leading.
Ian’s father died at 48, believing there would be more time to slow down. That loss changed how Ian understands performance, pressure, trajectory and the quiet decisions through which a future is built.
Brake Your Limit exists to help people and organizations notice what their current decision environments are reinforcing—and create the visibility to choose more intentionally.
